maybe they are easier to find for your bike but this is the first time i have ever seen the factory gages for mine

starting bid was $50 which is kinda steep but when there is low supply you can charge more i guess

What is the difference between your gauges and the gauges on an 82 XJ650 Maxim?

    They come up somewhat regular.

You can use the gauge cluster from the X, just cut out the water guage.
I believe the center cover is the same without the water guage.

I've also seen a good gauge cluster go for $200+ in prime season.
Do you have anything on yours?
    I have a couple spares, but I don't think I have a complete cluster.

just won the bid and paid $96 plus shipping. as soon as the bidding ended, a set from an '86 xj700 was put up for the same starting price but that cluster also had a water temp gage

    oh well

not sure why i hadn't noticed any since june and now i see two lol

my bike has nothing but the speedo from an old honda. all my wires are taped up and hopefully i can convince a friend to help me set em up

wouldn't want to tackle that project without some sort of instructions

from the looks of the parts fiche, your speedo is mechanical and I can't tell about the tach, there would only be that (if electronic) and the lights, it just LOOKS complicated but there's not a lot to match up.
