I wanted to post some modification of my 83 XJ750K. I added a camera on the tail "sissy bar." On the faring above the gauge cluster you can see the view screen and a mount for my smartphone. I sometimes use the GPS function of the phone. The view screen is visible in daylight albeit a little dim, but at night, I have to actually dim it is so bright.
The LED light is both running and stop light for more visibility.
Interestingly I have been having start problems, which seemed to boil down to a bad ground. I'm still "test" driving how long until and if I get a no start problem that I thought was the TCI/CDI.

Ha, that's pretty cool. I'm tinkering with mounting my droid on my bars as well, but have run into a few issues I need to resolve.

    Hey Gymer, Welcome to xjbikes!

Where'd you get that tail light? I am looking into add'l light/visibility options. I like that one.

Interesting shocks Gymer. Two different springs. Are they Mulhollands? I have those on my Seca.

Also have you ever thought of removing that large, ugly licence plate holder that was designed for a larger plate? Like the size they were in the '80s?

See, looks much nicer. :D Mounted mine right to the underseat storage box.

ColoradoDan, I used and LED from O'Reillys and just was able to fit it just so.

biggs500, Now that you mention it, your right. I never paid attention to that it was oversized. I may paint the space around the license black, or like you make the whole thing smaller. As for the springs, that's what was on the bike when I got it from my brother. He had it modified to a four in one exhaust FYI.

I run a trio of Red LED's on the rear of my seat.
They are powered by a "Back-off" Module from SignalDynamics.

When I brake they flash several times before coming-on full.
As often as the switch is opened and closed the Module resets and begins the sequence all-over again.
