Buying ANYTHING for an XJ: check out XJ4EVER in the forum section. It's a store run by a member here and he can get you anything.

You can "Make-up" nicer Cables than came with the Bike.

You can get the Wire On-Line, at an Auto Parts Store, RadioShack or Electrical Supply Depots.

Terminal Ends for the Wire are readily available.
    Hardware Store ... Home depot.

    Solder the Terminal Ends on.

You can Solder on the terminal end without melting or singeing the Vinyl Wrap by protecting the Vinyl from the Heat Source.

After measuring and cutting the Vinyl away to expose the end to be soldered into the Terminal End, ... WRAP the Vinyl with a Bandage made from a Cotton Tee-shirt.

Before you insert the Wire end into a Terminal End >>PRELOADED<< with Solder ... Saturate the Cotton with Ice Water and let it stop dripping.
Heat the Terminal End to molten the solder.
    Insert the Wire
Add additional solder to make for a Professional looking end.
Remove the Heat source as soon as the additional solder runs.

Go to a custom autosound shop they can make up some real nice cables. The cables will be of hi grade copper with gold plated ends with protective boots
