battery issue

    hi fellow xjers,question regarding trickle charger,been on for a few days now but when i go to start the bike turns over a couple of times then nearly dead, does the battery need a full charge of a battery charger to fully charge the battery or is it something else? any help would be appreciated guys

    The battery does need to be fully charged, but not on an automotive battery charger you can cook it.

    Make sure the cells are topped off, and charge it fully at not more than 2A/HR.

    Then take it to your local auto parts store and have them test it for you; they can tell you if it's any good, load-wise, or not.
