I almost forgot to mention that we've got a sale right now on a battery tender that will work nicely for those getting ready to store their bikes for the winter. It's a pretty good buy at $29.95. I picked up two for that dreaded day, myself.

I'm on the West Coast, so I'm not sure if this sale is national or not. You can contact your local CARQUEST store by going here if you're interested in picking one up. It's damp-location rated, so if you can find a place to mount it on the bike (I looked and can't find one) you can. I'll hopefully be posting something more on this "mounting" problem this coming Sunday. (I have a cunning plan .)

Walmart sells a Black and Decker unit for $20. it has a 1 - 2 amp setting and auto shut-off. Has several terminations inclucding clip-ons and one to permanantly connect to the battery so you can plug in the charger anytime without having to get at the battery posts.

Sorry for the delay. I just got back from work. The main body measures 4-7/8" x 3-5/8" x 1-3/4". The ears measure 4-5/8" top of ear to bottom of other ear. The AC cord is about 12" long and the DC wires are about 18" long. All measurement are approximate. Hope that helps.

what I like about the CarQuest one is that it can be mounted on the bike and all you do is just plug in your bike when not in use. It seems ingenious. I checked and the sale is good Nationwide at all CarQuest locations.
