Yeah but a lot of haters on the original look of the XJ... Coffee grinder rims...Grrrrrrr I think they look cool. Bummer is watch our bikes disappear in favor of being chopped and customised.

I'm not a bobber fan, but it looks cool. And I'm with vintagerice - I hate to see these great old bikes turn into a cheap starting point for custom bike builders.

C'mon now. Us custom bikers gotta have somewhere to start. XJs are cheap now. Here in twenty years GSXRs will be cheap. I bet you can find an M109 in twenty years under 1 grand. Shoot, in time, everything will be considered a classic or an antique. Just look at BigFitz! o.o
Agreed though, not a fan of most chopped bikes. I personally would never chop one. My custom looking stock 700 is quite nice ty :D

Can't really agree that folks that customize a bike hate the looks of the original. I can REALLY appreciate the looks of a stock '32 Ford, but I have seen a few '32 highboys that I would give my left.....uhhh.....you know what I mean...

No but Skillet... in this article the guy was bashing the XJ and the comments from readers seemed pretty harsh.

To each his own I guess.
