I have a spare rear wheel for my 750 that i bought a replacement for because the PO managed to bend it a little. (not too much that it loses air or makes the ride wobble but it was making the tire rub against the drive shaft and it took off most of the sidewall in one area) I saw a post on here about the rear to front conversion kit and was wondering if there is any way to bend these rims back or if it would be ok to just throw on the front. The gaps between the sidewall and the forks are substantially larger so rubbing shouldnt be a problem but im a little skeptical to just throw it on and try it... Do you think i should attempt to bend it back? or just trash it and get another one? OR is it good to go?

Definitely a no go on the front. If it is bent it will cause a dangerous wobble putting it on the front. It would also probably be cheaper to just replace the wheel than have it repaired.

ok, another question then, Should i stick with my make and model or can i get a different rear wheel from a different year or model bike that uses the same wheel style and bolt pattern as my 82? I heard the 650's were the same. (the reason i ask this is i had a b**ch of a time finding the last wheel i ordered. had to ship it from texas..haha)

i would think the 650 would be the same, if it is indeed the flower pattern wheel.
I have one for sale if you need it, cheap.
