When I moved to NoVa, I spent a long time looking for a good, trustworthy MC mechanic that charged a reasonable price. I then stumbled upon Jason Brooks of Brooks Cycle Center in Fairfax. He's done a carb cleaning, a valve adjustment, the rear brake, and multiple "tune-up" tweaks to my Maxim X. It runs better than it ever has and his prices are fantastic. He also welcomes you to sit in with him and help, so that you can learn some of the easier procedures. He'll do on-site work wherever your bike is and / or provide towing services if needed. He'll be replacing the front head on my '82 Honda V45 Sabre this winter as well. Some shops won't even touch the X or the Sabre. This guy is great, you'll never go anywhere else.
