Well I've officially missed most of the good fall riding weather here or so it is starting to seem. I am in the process of doing forks, brakes, lines, exhuast, and coolant.

I rebuild my calipers and cleaned them well. I am now onto the exhaust and coolant system while waiting for new oil seals.

I figured as bummed as I am it would be nice to get the exhuast on and atleast hear her start for a few minutes.

So I get the exhuast mounted. Get the coolant system flushed and put back on, and refill the bike with coolant and oil.

Key on. Set to run. CLICK CLICK CLICK CLICK. No start. Damn....

What could be wrong? It sat for maybe two weeks if that with gas in the tank, and no oil or coolant. However it was in a climate controlled garage where it never got colder than 70 degrees and the engine holes were all covered as well.

My roommate rides his old Honda MAYBE once every month or two. There is no reason my should have issue not being started for 2 weeks....

Where do I go now? What do I check?

CLICK, click click? As in, not even turning the motor over?

    Your battery went flat.

It's upset that is all. It just feels neglected and confused-and the whole Honda talk is probably not helping :)

No all kidding aside start with the basics. battery charged, fuel present, plugs firing, compression good. It might not hurt to give it some starting fluid into the throats of the carbs just to get it off the snide.

And don't despair about the riding season, no doubt a brutal winter may be in store, the animals think so, but I'm betting we have a warm November, expect it to turn frigid mid December. My garage goes online full time then. 2 motors to rebuild and a long list of other jobs!

Give the battery a charge first, just started mine today after hours of trying, it turned the engine but not enough for a good spark at the plugs. Also a spray of easy start as well, works wonders.

Weird..... SO i let it sit overnight and all morning. Came home and figured why not give it a shot. Turned right on. Now I only have the headers on so it was freaking loud. It also didn't want to stay running when I would give it throttle. I am assuming that's just a lack of back pressure and being cold. How do guys not have mufflers on these things. I revved it to like 2k and could feel it in my chest not to mention my ringing ears.
