Bobbering a 82 XJ 750 Maxim????

    I cant wait to start my first bobber build. I found this on craigslist for $600 obo it runs and it looks real clean from what i can tell. I really like the hardtail look but i cant weld :( thats the only thing i was confused about because i want my bike lowered. Are there like shorter forks/shocks you have to swap in order to achieve that? I want my bike to have the SAME exact stance as the orange bike down below? Also what websites do you guys get your parts from? Besides ebay. I want to go with a set of drag bars also.

    Can't answer about the doing the bobber thing, but I would be interested in the seat and sissy bar assembly.
