brake bleeding

    I started bleeding the brakes on my 81 Seca 750RH. Got all(or most) of the old fluid out. Took apart one calipre and cleaned it as I thought it might have been stuck. Put in new fluid and thought I got all the air out. I can't get the pressure to come back up. If I pump th brake handle I can see the fluid move in the bleeder tube, no air comes out. Did I miss something?

    Get somebody to help.
    Pump the handle ... slow ... 4 - 6 times and HOLD it firmly as possible.
    Open bleeder; close immediately when flow stops.
    Pump again.
    (You should be doing the caliper farthest from the master first)
    Hold. Bleed. Close.
    Keep level of new fluid in master at least 1/2 way.
    As pressure returns (IF Mstr seals are OK) ... pressure will gradually return.
    Pump. Hold any pressure forming. Open/close moving fluid down ...
    Never allowing the brake lever to release from being closed or pushing-out fluid and being held firmly to grip.
    Dont release the lever until the bleeder is closed and the fluid is checked in the master.

    If air is getting back in at the threads of the bleed nipple ... wrap the bleed nipple threads with a few turns of vinyl thread sealing tape making sure the bleed hole isn't taped-over.
