I've just replaced my rear brake tension rod, and in the process, had to remove the brake pedal. The short spring (2 1/4 ") in the picture popped off during the process, so I didn't see where it attached. It appears to attach to a mount mount on the frame (shown in photo) and the brake pedal assembly.

However, the spring does not have any tension when I hook it up like this.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

OK, I got it. Seems like once the pedal was put back on and everything reassembled, the proper tension is now on the spring.
