New to motorcycle world. But how long should brakes last on a bike. I understand mileage and how hard i use them come into affect. But is their a rough estimate. I replaced my front and rear last year and was just curious if they last as long as a car last or shorter.

If you replaced the shoes and pads last year, you'll probably never replace them again unless you're hard on the brakes. I've replaced ones that have been on bikes when I get them, but I've never had to re-replace them yet. But, I don't brake hard either..............

Mileage-wise, I usually see around 20K ~30K or so on a set of front pads and rears generally end up getting replaced because of age.

I put new EBC pads in my 550 Seca when I recommissioned it and at 12K they're about half worn.
