broken cam cap bolt

    so i either don't know how to use a torque wrench or the one i got is defective... broke a cam cap bolt.

    was wondering if i could use the heat screw, apply wax, let cool, repeat trick in this location?
    dunno if ill mess the head up or not doing it. shouldn't think so, but i just want to make sure.

    should be fine doing that. i don't think they're through holes. just try to clean the hole of the majority of the wax after.

    They are blind holes. I did the same thing but had to drill out mine. Good luck with it

    Is the top of the bolt broken below the boss its screwed into?? If its flush I would take and cover every thing up and Dermel tool a screw driver slot in it and back it out that way. Unless you streached the threads over torqueing it. In which case that would need to be heli coiled.
