as i dont have alot of mobney for new carbs... i need a quick fix. anyone trust any chemicals that will bond and withstand gas? the tab that holds on my float broke. i tore them back apart because the bike wont stay running by itself. i had this piece fixed... and it stayed in place, so i know it wasnt a float problem.... (im guessing its the sand that was leftover in the gas tank) but i didnt like the integrity of this piece when i took them apart.... so im looking to "glue" it back on. thanks in advance guys

What number carb is it? I have a few good carb bodies in my spare parts. You should update your signature so we know what bike you have & what part of the country your from.

I'm in the us. I tried adding an avatar and all that but this site hates me... lol. Its a 82 650... same carbs as my 80 650. If your sitting on the bike looking down it would be the far left.. so id say #1? Or iss it 4?

I guess it would depend on if your sitting on the bike or standing in front of it.
If your sitting on the bike the LH cylinder is #1

Please be aware that the 1980-81 XJ650 carbs are slightly different from the 1982-up carbs, as the early model carbs used coarse-thread mixture screws, while hte later (yics engines) versions used the ultra-fine threaded mixture screws.

I'm from new hapshire. That is good to know.... I was hoping to just find a whole set.. then it wouldn't matter. The bike with the problem is an 82. And yes.... it would be #1
