I was getting ready to put away my 1980 xj650 maxim after letting it cool, and noticed that the tachometer glass lens was smashed in. Probably one of the homeless guys who lives in the dumpster next to my house... I tried finding one on xj4ever, but had no luck with any available. I know Home Depot sells plexiglass and it can get up to 1/20 inch thick (.05 in). Does anyone know the dimensions of the glass (width and the shape) so that I can replicate it, or does anyone have a cheap extra lens laying around? Since the left one is still good, (and I go about using plexiglass) should I take out the left one to copy one for the right side? The gauge still works, so I don't need to go and spend 150 for a new one, but I'm still really disappointed this happened.
