i note the sky blue wire off the "starting circuit cutoff relay" T's to the diode pack, and ties into the blue/white wire that links the starter button to the starter relay. (quite indirectly).... the diode pack is the finned Al heatsink under the LH side cover, I assume.
Since I am getting nowhere, very slowly, trying to suss out what the deal is, & the actual starter relay works.....can I snip the blue/w wire at the starter solenoid/relay, run a wire up to the handlebars, snip it where the blue/w wire goes to the starter button, & just eliminate ALL that nitwittery, and assume anyone who rides a bike should be smart enough to make sure its in neutral?
Im thinkin the diode pack is the source of the 12 volts Im finding at the starter solenoid pigtail blue/w wire, which, in any sane world, just go to ground. The batt. dosnt go dead over time.......

The whole story is under the "starter relay" thread close by.
Push starter button, nothing happens. Much testing, no answers.

I had a similar problem when my safety switch went out on my maxim. I just followed the wire from the switch by the stand and used a jumper wire to complete the circuit where the switch plugged in. Might be the same on the seca and would save you cutting the wires. Good luck
