Hi guys, I have a 1980 xj650j and I swapped out the buck horn bars for street track style bars. I'm having an issue with the throttle cable routing and the brake line routing. I didn't change the throttle cable, it's the one that came w the bike. Throttle cable is sticking way out in front and looks goofy (too much slack) and I'm wondering how it should be mounted to take up the slack.

The replaced brake line from new Master Cylinder to brake Union was ordered from Chacal, for flatter bar style, but it seems bunched up and rubs the frame neck when bars are turned back and forth. Are there any helpful cable routing photos or diagrams?

    Thanks guys!

You'll need to have shorter cables made. Any re-routing that would tuck the cables in will lead to them binding.

Post up a pic of the brake line.

    650j makes it a '82.
+1 and/or source cables for another model that will fit (makes it easier to get as needed replacements).

+1. Add this to your signature so we can stop asking, "Which model is it?".
