I bought a second seca , and the seat is still very soft and plyable but dirty . What should i use to clean it that wont harm or dry it out . It needs some deep cleaning but i dont want to ruin this seat its perfect . Any ideas on something to clean , and treat it to make it last > Back in the day i used armor all and it ruined my other seca seat !

I'm no Fitz...but I would use saddlesoap with a clean soft shoe brush to scrub up a lather and to get into the seams and grooves then wipe it down with rinsed clean towels until all the soap and dirt is gone. Depending on how dirty the seat is, you might have to repeat the process a couple of times. Should not hurt the seat material at all.

Hey I had both of my seats reupholstered; one recontoured, upfoamed, etc.

That being said, I do have a recommendation for you though; two actually.

I would use the NEW Armor-All "Natural Finish Detailer" on the part you sit on; this stuff is great and it does NOT make everything slippery and shiny:

and Mothers' "Back to Black" on the sides and where the side panel wraps around the back.

I also wouldn't bother using saddle soap on the vinyl; it's not leather. I'd clean it with my favorite cleaner, diluted Simple Green. Then treat with the products above.

Or, send it off to Sargent's and have it done up:

Used Murphy's Oil Soap and warm water. From there on I use Pledge. Does make it a bit slippery at first but that goes away quickly. But looks great. I use it on all the rubber parts on my bike with incredible results. Takes turns old rubber into looking new. And the most important attribute is that it seems to last months if not longer.

I also use simple green and arnourall detailler on all the bikes that I clean up at the shop. Works great.
