Start at $500. Then subtract for the junk muffler, nasty original brakes, worn out seat.

The good side. Basically complete with minimal modifications. It has both side covers.

Overall. If it passes general checks (compression, tires, running). It would be a decent project bike.

X2 - make sure you run a compression check - at 41k, if nobody has done the valves, something could be pretty jenked.

EVEN IF IT RUNS. An XJ can appear to run "fine" on 3 decent cylinders and one soggy pot.

And I gotta agree with Ghost on the price, $500 max. Brakes will need a lot more than pads, that exhaust needs help, etc.

But if the motor's solid it would be a good starting point.

just keep in mind thats 41K km's not miles, but def those valves are gonna need checking. along with alot of other checks and possibly new parts.
I paid 550 for mine and it was in alot better shape then that one when i got it.

just keep in mind there are better ones for sale out there you just have to give them time to drop the price.

if he wont take 500 after some nagging about how rough it is then walk away.
