Can any 4 cyclinder tach be used on xj650r???

    I Have a 82 650 seca and the tach bounces a lot. changed everything from the motor up so i know its the gauge. can any tach thats for a 4 cylinder be used or does it have to be for a mototrcycle? http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/ProductI ... 75tach.jpg This is the tach i plan on using.
