I am putting turbo from a 650LJ onto my 650RJ Seca. I know the compression ration has to be different. My question is are the bore and stroke the same? I want to swap pistons, jugs, heads, and carbs. I really dont want to mess with the crank shaft and I want to keep my original cases for the registration. Being they are both xj650 of the same year the bore and stroke should be the same right? I think displacement is really 653cc

Both have the same bore and stroke. Turbo had 8.5:1, where the Seca had 9.2:1 Compression ratio.

If you don't use the turbo's engine & bottom end, how are you going to handle the oil lube/cooling of the Turbo ?
