I had to adjust my iddle speed down quite a bit. It was running at around 1400rpm instead of 1050 RPM. So I adjusted it downward since the engine was well warmed up and I could make the adjustment. My real question is would this iddle speed upset my fuel economy much???. My MPGs have really dropped recently I am trying to figure out why.

Pull the plugs and see how they look. Idle speed would not be a big factor unless you are idling alot.

    Dropped by how much?

Just lowering the rpm's a couple hundred revs shouldn't change your Fuel Economy for the worse.
If anything you should be using less gas.

With all things being NORMAL and the Bike suddenly using MORE Gas ...
You check the Plugs to see if they are real dark.
That will tell you to look for a problem in Delivery.

Two common causes of sudden Fuel Economy loss are:
    Clogged Emulsion Tubes ...
The Gas gets fed into the Intake Stream like a Babbling Brook instead of Atomized. Generally, leading to the Fouling of Plugs.

    Stuck or Sticking Diaphragm Pistons.
But, you usually notice when the Diaphragms are sticking.
The Bike feels funny during the Throttle changes and loses its snappiness accelerating through the Band.
