Can't remove float pin!

    I am trying to clean the carburetor and got stuck trying to get this little pin out. it just seems like its stuck in there. any ideas?

    Yes. Use a small drift or a "nailset" to tap the pin out just far enough to get a sharp pair of diagonal cutters under the head, and carefully use those to pry and pop it out.

    Be sure to support the float "tower" when tapping, and you don't need to tap very hard. The "binding" part of the pin is the area just under the head, the shaft is a slightly larger diameter just there.

    1. Heat the head side of the tower with a heat gun.
    2. Cool the pin with freezing spray. I used contact cleaner.
    3. Use needle nose pliers to push pin flush.
    4. Use diagonal cutters to wedge pin out by head. Absolutely worked great for me!

    FINALLY DID IT!! i spent two hours last night after work and two hours this morning trying to take this thing out.thank you guys, the work can now continue
