Cant Ride- Too Wet..

    G'Day,I havn't been able to ride my bike for 4 days now ,we are getting bucket loads of rain here in sunny old Brisbane(australia) and its driving me nuts.What i want to ask is how long cant you ride your bike for in winter when you put it into hybernation,what do you do instead? i cant really imagine your winters,i havn't even seen snow before.

    winter here in Detroit is about 4-5 months....we ride snow mobiles and 4wd quads in the winter...its fun

    Here in Indiana it gets to cold to ride for about 4 to 5 months we move over to snowmobiles.

    I snow ski. I do ride until it's just above freezing around here in Maryland. I'll get it back out as soon as the salt is washed off.

    thanks for the replies, swapping one ride for another. do the snowmobiles go well, i cant imagine they would go like a bike or do they? 4 or 5 months of freezing cold weather would be hard to get use to id say.its been along time since ive experienced a temp of less than about 3 or 4 degrees cel.

    It's been clear and cool here in the Northeast, lots of bikes out today. Last year was mild through November, then all of the bikes go in two barns for Winter. We did get a fair amount of off-road riding in, with very little snow here.

    I ride year round (even in the rain but it does not rain that hard here) the only time I don't ride is when there is snow/ice on the roads, sometimes upto two weeks depending on how bad the storm was.
