I am building a set of hitachi's from a box of parts, and have a question. Does the main or pilot air jet go into the hole closest to the enrichment valve? I read in one of these posts that the Haynes manual is wrong on this, but it didn't say which goes where. The problem is the Haynes manual shows them both ways. The parts schematic (same one from the factory manual) shows the pilot closest to the enrichment valve, but the "how to" picture shows the main in that position. I'm guessing the schematic is correct, since both manuals agree, and the pilot is the one that goes in that hole. Just thought I'd double check to be sure.

If you're referring to the picture (7.9b) on page 123, the jets are correct; the *label* is backwards. This is a known error in the Haynes manual.

In short: big hole goes towards the engine side, just like the picture shows.
