So recently I picked up a 81'xj550 seca. The one in my profile pic. So I tore into the carbs and found stock jets ( to my surprise) the bike has a k&n air filter and a supertrapp 4 into1. Shouldn't have been rejected for the supertrapp?

supertrapp is a tunable exhaust standard type k&n filter oiled in the air box?
you may be good or just buy the stock filter. could also be why the k&n is in there.
only plug chops or color tune will tell for sure

^ what he said. If it's the K&N in the airbox then just get a paper filter. The K&N makes the bike run lean, so replacing it will save you the cost of jets.
