Ok so i ordered the basic carb rebuild kits for my 1980 maxim xj650. the carbs were already syncd but i ended up having 2 leaky gaskets and bowls overflowwing. Now if i just replace the items on the carbs with the new stuff that came in the mail, will it off set the sync and have to be redone ? thank you for any help you can give me, i need this bike running badly so i can find some work.

if your working bottom side there is no reason the sync should change

The metal disc is to cover your pilot screws when you're done so you get the pleasent task of drilling out later. The oring is a replacement for the one under the pilot screw.

My metal discs go in the trash.
