Hey guys - I've been reading on here about painting and such, but wanted to see if I could get a more specific answer...

I've got an '81 XJ650 Midnight I'm working on - this is not a complete restore right now, just getting it clean and road ready. While cleaning the carbs, I pretty much lost all the black paint on them - but I'd like to try and paint them myself. Doesn't need to look amazing - just would like to get them a decent uniform black.

What's the best way to paint carbs (cleaning, type of paint, etc) and if you've done it yourself how'd it hold up? Thanks!

heres a set i painted a while ago used "KG GUN KOTE" it aint easy, part has to be clean like a surgical implant, they say sandblasted but i skipped that
you put it on with a air brush then bake it at 350 deg for a hour
after that nothing takes it off but sandblasting
