Does anyone know what kind of carbs these are? the only marking i can find is a target looking symbol. Some of the jets are in bad shape and need to be replaced

Also what is the long brass looking tub by the floats in the back? can it be removed and/or cleaned? i put a picture below

the bike is an 86 xj700 air cooled

    thanks much!

THe long brass tube is a part of the enrichment circuit. It can't be removed, but you gotta make sure that it is clean. SOme do it with by spraying carb cleaner from both ends and by running a metal guitar string (the hi "E") in it.

I think some use a very very tiny drilling bit (Len sells them) but I haven't tried it yet.

These are Hitachi carbs for sure, and if they are original to your bike, they should be HSC33 Hitachi.
