been trying to get my bike to idle without dieing plus i noticed that it pops or stumbles some around 600 700 rpm also noticed wetness around the butterfly shaft where the circlip attachs on the shaft i'm thinking it might be sucking air there. also was looking in the service manual at the carb and doesn't show or say what theses are in the carb, arrow drawn to point out what i'm talking about look like a jet of some kind. they all look pretty dirty.

was just shooting carb cleaner through the main air jets and on carb 4 when i spray down in the jet nothing comes out the main jet in the carb bore like the rest of the carbs. i'm guessing it's blocked. whats a good remedy to unblock it the jet seems pretty tight and i don't want to screw it up.

They are "air compensator jets", they're only on the Hitachi HSC32 carbs (650 and 750 Maxims & Secas), and I don't know of anyone who knows exactly what they do, but they're always a size #36, which is an "air jet" size #36, not a "fuel jet" size #36, which would be tiny.....these, as the picture above shows, are huge.

They should be clear, although again---it's an air jet, and really shouldn't get "gummed up" like fuel jets do. Never hurts to clean them. They unscrew like all the others.

Wetness around the throttle shafts is not a good thing.......means the throttle shaft seals are leaking, means taking the rack completely apart to replace them. Schmuckaholic has a good pictorial odessey on what is involved.

It's supposed to idle at 1050. I garundarntee you mine won't run at 700.

Sounds ok, tiny bit rough but not at all bad.
Wetness is indicating your throttle shaft seals are bad. New ones are indicated. They can be sourced from Chacal at a reasonable price and Shumuckaholic just did a swell How-To pictorial on replacement.
