Hi don't know if any of you guys can help on this.I have just rebuilt and set the carbs on my 550.As they were pre-set i just did a bit of guess work.Because 2 of the pilot screws were stuck, had to build the carbs up out of 2 sets. On the rebuild i then set the pilot screws to 3 1/4 turns out from bottom, then set up the balance(i have a genuine yics tool) at 1200rpm.The bike runs and pulls very well with a smooth tickover just not sure if my settings are near or not.So any advise would be great.

That should be good dude. At 3 1/4 you shouldn't be lean which is the bad side of the tuning. Rich could foul plugs with black carbon buildup but won't blow and pistons or burn any valves like a lean setting would. Since it runs well I think you have answered most of your question.
