Carburettor overflow question

    My Mikuni BS32 rack seems to have two overflows, between 1 and 2 AND 3 and 4. Only one had an overflow pipe connected but I imagine they both should have?

    I checked the Yamaha parts diagram - it's not shown.

    Yes Markie, they should & make sure the tubes come straight up & over the back of the air box.

    Is the idea that they are a vent - or an overflow? The one that was on mine exited the rack and went down next to the battery breather!

    Some Mikunis have both, but if they are overflows & point down, they tend to syphon, how many pipes you got in total?

    3- like yours. The fuel supply is in the centre and the two overflows as I described between 1&2 and 3&4.

    Do you route yours over the airbox THEN down alongside the battery breather pipe?

    Yes the higher pair go up & over the air box & down the back.
