Yes there is a trick. I'll post my ? Topic when I find it.

    http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=2 ... trick.html

    Side stand down
    Stand on left side
Grab left handle and straighten wheel with left hand
Lower center stand with right foot while grabbing grab bar or sissy bar with right hand
Gently rock as necessary to level bike and center stand
Put pressure on stand pedal while also pulling a little with your right hand
Bike should POP up on stand semi easily after a few practices

It sounds like a lots to do. It's simple and basic leverage once you know how

My first attempts I was trying while sitting on the bike. :p

However I do rock off center stand while sitting on the bike.

damn, all of a sudden, i'm an expert! your method works great! not tough at all once you get the leverage and when to pull up, seems all the work is done with your right foot.
okay, so this proves old monkeys CAN be taught new tricks.....
    thanks guys!

we all went through that routine of trying to learn how it works.

i started off by sitting on the bike. with my left holding the stand down. i would rock the bike to get it up. usually took me a couple of minutes to make it happen. a month later i learned the actual procedure.
