I changed my oil yesterday, and now the bike stalls when I go to put it in gear. What's up with that? Am I not checking the oil level properly? I can see oil up to the top line of the window, though it is already quite a bit towards the black side.

sounds more like a sidestand switch issue than an oil issue. See if the switch is operating correctly with a multi meter if you have one, other wise clean the contacts and try again.

Its normal for new oil in an old engine to appear dirty quick, consider putting some seafoam in the crankcase a few hundred miles before you do another oil change.

Ok, I'll try testing the switch then.

    What oil did you use?
    What tempature is the air?
Is this only when starting the bike first time in the morning?

Could just be the clutch plates sticking with a heavier weight oil...

Um.. yea..... Did I mention that I had disconnected the battery, to check the water level? And I did some cable rerouting?

Side stand switch was disconnected. Whoops. :D
