Clutch bolt torque Spec for 550 Seca? Service Manual vs. experts

    My Service manual says 5.8 ft-lbs for the "clutch screw torque", which I assume are the 5 bolts with springs holding the clutch assembly and plates to the boss. Yet most experts on here are saying 7.2 ft-lbs. I don't trust the manual much, it does not even mention the one friction plate with the larger inner diameter and the associated zig-zag spring, nor where those go in the order of assembly. So, 5.8 or 7.2? Advice/debate welcome.

    5.8 ft-lb = 8nm
    7.2ft-lb is for the clutch cover bolts (which is the outer cover)

    Ok, but 8mm? The clutch assembly bolts are 10mm
