I had to replace the clucth lever/mirror mount bracket on my 83 xj750 maxim since the stud was stripped, and after getting the cable installed finally, the clutch doesn't seem to work right. (don't have the tank on it at the moment to see what it does while running)

it could be just that the old cable is sticking, cuz there doesn't seem to be as much travel when I pull in the lever, and it doesn't release fully. If I were to put a new cable on, how much do they run, and what's the process for adjusting it properly?

    Thanks.
