ok since i havnt swapped a wet clutch yet i thought i would throw this one out there for discussion. while passing a car this morning i got a shudder at 7400 rpm, i got it again climbing the hill going up into the company campus. same rpm range.... i am pretty sure its the clutch going out.

    My questions are:
i hear there are 8 disks, can you slectivly replace them?
do i need to do the springs while i am in there?
money is tight so looking for ideas here

You should not replace individual friction discs; it's false economy plus how would you know which ones to replace? chacal stocks aftermarket clutch components that work just FINE. I'm running them, and they're not expensive at all, especially compared to OE.

With 23K on it I would replace the springs. They're cheap too.

For right now you MIGHT get away with complete disassembly, cleaning, and new springs. You're close to done at 23K tho...

I wouldn't want to take it apart twice. Once to attempt to fix and another to really fix. Do it right, do it once.

i went through the whole slipping clutch thing, changed oil , adjusted cables even took it apart and measured them, they were .002 under new, still slipped
got tired of messing around and replaced the 8 plates and put in new springs
    no more slip at all
i can't believe it was the .002, so it had to be the springs
    try the springs, their cheap
