    Help, ((81 Seca 750))
My clutch switch is broken ( wires pulled from Switch). I bypassed the switch and now Seca will start without clutch , but.. Red warning light flashes on dash display?? Yamaha has discontinued switch... any aftermarket help or repair help, or??
    thanks
(new to Site--is a great help for recently aquired Seca--have adjusted valves, cleaned and set carbs, am overhauling front brakes with forums help...)

Hit the XS 650 page link listed in one of our members. Hit the search function. I saw a switch there real cheap. You could do what PBR and I did and solder the wires back into the switch. Just be sure to be super careful when you depress the locking tabs that hold the switch in place, we broke both of his. Hot glue gun to the rescue! And it worked! I'd be happy to solder it up for you if you can extract it and send it to me.

    Thanks,
thought crossed my mind about soldering it. will check link and take a close look at own switch. I had it out and put it back in as i figured it at least kept bugs/grime and/or water out of the lever cable.
