so I was on a 100 mile run last night and about 15 miles in my clutch got TIGHT. by the time I got home it needed about 40lbs pressure to pull it in, my wrist still hurts. I disconnected the cable and find that it's free as a bird. the plates have been refreshed with sandpaper and new clutch friction plates, about 30 miles done around town before this run. So what happened in there? I'm not riding it till it's fixed. Thanks

Well, let's pull it apart and have a look. If it isn't the pressure plate not being lined up with the dot on the basket, there could be somethng goofy going on with the throwout mechanism, or something weird happened with a spring/bolt, hard to say.

Have to take a close look at the throwout shaft and its gear in the cover.
