Hey, I have a 1982 Yamaha Maxim XJ750J, and I was wondering which coils would work with it, I mean, obviously there's the coils for it, but what I'm asking is, like, would XJ650 coils work on it? I guess what I'm trying to say is, which ones are universal with the XJ750J? Also, does anyone have some cheap coils? I know that's a question for the buy section, but I wanted to know which ones would work with my bike anyways, that's why I posted here.

Oh, and just to double check, 750 Seca coils would work on a 750 Maxim, right?

    Thanks,
    Eric

XJ650 and XJ750 coils are interchangeable. I'm using 650 Seca coils on an XJ750 engine in my bike. Wouldn't surprise me if they have the same p#.

Early VF Honda coils will work as well, although you need to make wiring adapters and mounting bolt spacers.

They are interchangable Mono. 650 to 750, Seca to Maxim, it's all good.

I have a 85 700 coil you are welcome to if it will interchange. I have both but one was ground down for science.
