Is the frame on the Maxim's the same as the Seca's?
Also, does anyone know what other bikes triple trees (if any) would bolt up to it?

Guys; The frames on the 550 Seca and 550 Maxim are COMPLETELY different. They're a different SHAPE.

I don't know about the whole fork assembly but I do know they have different diameter front fork tubes.

Although subtle, there are a lot of differences between the 550 Seca and Maxim; beyond the obvious like the rear brake-- cams for instance.

Well in further talking with the guy it seems it's needing alot of little things. I don't mind making a new wiring harness, and hell I would probably do it anyways... but not having any of the things that PLUG into the wiring harness kinda sucks... (ignition control, sensors, saftey switches etc) so no go on this one.
    :(

It shouldn't take too much poking about for you to find a complete one for cheap. That thing's not even worth anything as a parts bike.
