    hey all,
as part of my bobber conversion, i have replaced my original handlebars with drag bars. this has changed the length of throttle wire needed (shortened the distance to the carbs).
this new geometry has affected the performance of the carbs coming off revs, meaning they don't throttle back down very well. i'm certain the cable is now binding with such tight bends. the front brake hose and clutch cable have also been affected by this change but do operate properly. i want to at least replace the throttle cable with a shorter one and should probably do the same with the brake hose and clutch cable.
how do i properly measure the length needed for new cables and hose? what do you take in to account?
also, can chacal provide the parts needed for the fix?
thanks to all and merry christmas!

I'd try a piece of flexible tubing or round extension cord.

Have you try re-rerouting to soften the bends?

yeah, i did try re-routing but they're simply too long now. even if i could make 'em work, i'd be worried about hanging up at some time in the future. on an almost 30yr old bike, probably not a bad idea to buy new cables anyway. i'll probably call chacal (if i get some christmas money!) to ask about replacements.
    thanks for your suggestion!
