    My pods coughed white smoke. Xj750. No jetting mod. Was running fine before I put the pods on. Left exhaust pipe smoked a bit too. Won't start or run without choke engaged. Any ideas?

    You have to re-jet if you want to run pods or it will run too lean.

    Too lean = blown motor. Bad juju.

    Yea too lean or those pods have a stash somewhere and they aren't sharing. Your enrichment lever (choke) is compensating by providing enough fuel to overcome the extra air. Search for rejetting and proceed (with patience) from there.
