Anyone out there have any idea of which ones will interchange between what models?

I know the XJ700X models are unique puppies, as are the XJ1100's.

What about the XJ550, XJ650, XJ750, and XJ900 models? Anyone done any swaps on these?

Or anyone know where the original "accessory" part numbers for these guards can be located?

I've got case savers on both my bikes, but I've never seen a part number or manufacturers name on either of them. Both bikes came from PO's installed. One set (the '82) has two mounting points, the other ('81) has three. The second set it a much better and stronger design.

This is all completely useless information to you, but what the hey. Consider it a bump. ;)

The 550, 650, 750, and 900 crash bars are the same.

Thanks guys! PJB03, thanks for the info, and out of curiosity, how did you go about determining that?

Well - I can attest to the 550, 650, and 750 all having the same -- they've got the same engine mount points and thus share the guards. My original 2 point guards were from a 550, and my current 3 point ones were from a 750.

As an note, the two point guards are useless -- had them on when my bike went down and the guards did more damage to the bike than the pavement would have when one of them folded back. Get the 3 point ones.

I just put 3-point guards from a 650 Maxim (ebay) on my 750 Seca no problem.

I purchased a set of Fehling crash bars and they fit all 550, 650, 750, and 900 xj bikes.

I also remember seeing a factory set on eBay that also fit all the bikes listed above.
