So, as I bring my 70 lb dog with me most places, including work, I'm seriously considering buying a Seca 750 (since there are many decent ones available locally), and attach a sidecar to it for the pooch.

Any comments on the idea? Suggestions for where to get an appropriate sidecar and what to look for? Lastly, I'm not sure how much I'll enjoy driving with a sidecar attached, so if anyone has actual experience, I'd like to hear about the experience.

Personally I have a bike w/sidecar on my bucket list. I wouldn't add one to my current bike tho; I'd get a bike specifically for that. I'd hate to have my daily ride to HAVE to have the sidecar...

One of my single 40 year old friends has 5 bikes and one of them is a Ural with a sidecar. He keeps an extra helmet in there in case the waitress at Denny's is feeling amorous!

I have a customer that has a sidecar on an XS650 special. It's the only hack I've ever ridden. It pulls right on acceleration and left on braking.

I know a guy that has a sidecar for his dog. He buys and sells bikes a lot but keeps putting the sidecar on his newest bike.

We know a couple with a Raider. He had a sidecar on so he could take wife and daughter. Removed it every chance he got. Now that the wife rides her own he never puts the hack on.

My Lab rides in a trailer. Not going to be able to get a hitch unless you go to a much larger bike.

I've seen a few sidecars for sale on Ebay before. Might want to check that out.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I think I'll wait until I find a sidecar and purchase that first, and then worry about the bike end of the equation. If anyone happens about a reasonably priced one (without the bike attached), hit me up!

From what I saw on Ebay, the cheapest are the used Ural sidecars that are going for around 800 bucks. If your skills are good, you might be able to make one for about 400 bucks.
