wow! that guy has some serious welding skills. Wonder what the girl riding it looks like...Only thing I question is the header running that close to the cam cover...I'm sure it is fine though.

I wish this guy was my neighbor, I would be asking him for all kind of help, lol. I love the exhaust pipes along with EVERYTHING!

Lets make this thread about cool XJ racer videos, any thoughts? Trying something different.

That's a really nice one off build. I would be concerned with heat flow in the header right off the manifold with the straight T connections. Besides that shows you what you can do with a little skill and materials.

That's interesting. I'd have gone with bends out of the head and merge them over the top instead of the T setup.

I bet it's comfortable to ride as it gets cooler. Built in seat warmer there.

    Oh and it has pods!

Maybe if the pipes were wrapped that would not admit a lot heat. Overall great build!

This is a very modified xj.. I like alot about it, but I am not sure if the maxim is the bike I would have done this to, but sick bike non the less. I hope it is left unpainted.

IMO its whatever the individual wants. For example, I have seen motified Harley's to look like a cafe racer and really thats not the look for a Harley. But if your a pruest then no this is not the thread for you.

Didn't say anything negative about it. I just said it isn't the bike I would do it to. I would love to build a kz up like this. Oh, and there is nothing pure about my buiild.

    Or a seca lol

Wow, that is sweet, that guy has mad skills! That is an great looking bike though I think the riding position looks uncomfortable for long rides. But otherwise it is awesome!

Another nicley fabricated bike & the builder has skill no doubt about it but still not a full on cafe racer in my eyes.
It still has standard footpegs & gearchange???? Not very racer with them there...

Maybe to much time thinking about trying to make it look different & not about what a cfae racer was/is all about.

Ready to be shot down in flames..

    No flames from me Col......

    I agree....

Seems nowadays the "Racer" part is set aside in favor of the pose....kinda like the "Fighter" in current Street Fighters seems to be going astray for bored builders just looking to be different.....Bottom line is a over the road bike built for speed with no compromise......anything that does not contribute to performance really does not belong...... A bike for the TT with a road plate and ya ride it for whats its worth when the time is right.

I also agree on the builders skill set.......outstanding! and the bike is nice to look at.

    Bring on the flames.....

Its time to commence the flaming on you jack wagons, lol. Just joking, well if you think you can do better please post a video or provide proof of pictures.

Until then keep your .02 cent to you self.
