Just bought and installed the double bucket Saddlemen seat for my xj 650

I liked the seat, but I am sitting way to high now, and I find my self sliding foward when hitting the brakes hard.
Would it be a wise idea to cut down the foam as far as possible?
If so how much foam should I leave on the seat?
I need to be sitting a lot lower, not sliding forward, and being able to lean back just a bit more.
Is this possible, or should I just get a bobber seat or something else?

    Thanks

Lower 48 in general. Otherwise Central Mitten.
You will find that using a set of forward controls/pegs will help tremendously with your positioning on that seat.
