Just wondering as I'm getting my list together for my bike.
Instead of rigging something, I don't mind buying tools (need to do the Forks on my other bike anyways)

Would this work? (not sure if the Forks are large enough to let the middle piece down, but I could always grind that off)

ATLIN Hex Axle Tool for Motorcycle Front Axle Wheel, Hex Allen Axle Spindle Tool 17mm, 19mm, 22mm, 24mm https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06VWMYNGP/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_RKZE5XVT54JXGAWC03VC

OR would I be better off getting a 22mm hex? Or large hex set...

Utoolmart Hex Impact Bit Socket, 1/2-Inch Drive Allen Bit Socket, 22mm Hex Impact Socket, Cr-Mo Steel, Master Impact Hex Driver, 1pcs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0813CKPLV/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_8YXN0X572HWWHNG0KG76

As for the fork Seals, I was reading about the pvc pipe, but again, I don't mind buying the right tool for the job.

    I think my xj750 is a 36mm?
My savage is 38mm so if I can find a universal or a cheap set, that'd be fantastic

EWK Motorcycle Adjustable 35-50mm Fork Seal Driver Tool for Harley Davidson, Suzuki, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Honda https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085VHVZMX/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_88YH67KFH9K00A9JA6K2

    Or something else possibly?

You can use bolts if you want and a 22mm socket.

Or l had an old coil spring compressor l hacksawed the top off half inch drive and is 22mm the size required. Or buy the tools if you prefer. But you could use different sized bolts depending on which bike you are working on.

I just made one 2 days ago....I found a 22mm nut (1986 xj700) and welded it to a Harbor Freight impact socket, then ground the nut flat so it fits in the damper rod securely and used a long extension. Total cost, NOTHING.
P.S. If you see an old set of sockets at a yard sale, buy them. You can always use them for something...
