I removed the factory speedo unit. I did follow the thread to a t regarding what wire to jump to bypass the Atari warning indicators. Everything works now, except my tail light is acting strange. I have no idea what else to try. My tail light only comes on if my high beams are on. Otherwise, no tail light but brake lights do work. Also, if I do have the low beams on, when I apply the brake, my high beams turn until I release the brake. Any ideas as to what the issue could be?

Yep you need to retrace your wires you have the low beam and rear brake light look at this and high beam some where your wires are crossed.

Yes that’s the diagram I used. No, the g/y is only spliced to the y/w. Then grounds to grounds , b to b/w and y to y/g from headlight. There are however two solid yellow wires

I followed the steps above and mine works fine. Only had to clean the connectors on the rear light.
